Doing more with your potential

As humans, we possess immense potential to achieve great things. Reaching our full potential requires overcoming obstacles, breaking through mental barriers, and honing our skills. These challenges are the cost of entry to a well-lived life.

The problem with we can face with our potential is twofold. When we reach our potential, we stay there or leave our potential just far enough in front of us that we never get there.

The former causes a glass ceiling that we continually bounce off, never moving further. The latter keeps us in our comfort zone, feeling we always have something to strive for.

Both cause stagnation and limited or no growth.

This week's Game Changer series challenge is to become aware of where you are on the journey. If you continually hold your potential in front of you, scared that more will be asked of you, step in and accept the challenge. If you have reached your potential, find more to do to change the world.

A Career Reset Coach can help

I help professional athletes develop the skills to avoid career reset when transitioning into business. I show them which skills can be leveraged from sports and which new skills are needed to transition smoothly to maintain the same level of success they enjoyed as an athlete.
